Macro Eyes

I bought Canon's 100mm f2.8 Macro lens mostly to photograph my ink drawings in fine detail, but soon discovered that eyes make an amazing macro subject.  This series is devoted completely to macro shots of eyes, which are far more intricate that I had ever imagined.  The most interesting thing about taking the photos is watching people's pupil expand and contract along with the flash: eyes are absolutely amazing!  The photos are also amazingly difficult to make, because in order to keep them truly 1:1 the entire camera body must be moved for focusing with the use of macro rails on a tripod.  Even if the person moves 1mm the eye goes out of focus.  Thanks to everyone who's let me photograph their eye thus far!
