The first shot below is what's become my very standard composition from the roof. With the recent purchase of a Canon 17-40mm f4L lens, I'm now able to get quite a bit wider of a shot than with my older 28-105. The black and white below is of the Williamsburgh Savings Bank Tower, the tallest building in Brooklyn. The reason it's the tallest in Brooklyn? It's actually illegal to build anything higher than it. Funny thing is that it's now owned by Magic Johnson, who's converting it into luxury condos. Ridiculous. The Bank Tower photo was taken with a Canon 100-400mm f3.5-5.6L IS lens - the building is just over a mile and a half away from us (the lens was not zoomed to 400mm).
